In a significant move that expands its reach to millions of free-to-air households across India, TNP News has officially secured a coveted MPEG-4 slot on DD Free Dish, India’s largest free DTH platform.
The announcement came following the 89th e-auction conducted by Prasar Bharati on July 2, 2025, for the slot period from July 11, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
The e-auction was conducted under the 2025 e-auction methodology laid out by Prasar Bharati. Only satellite channels with valid licenses from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) were eligible to participate.
How to watch? -
TNP News will be available on DD Free Dish via MPEG-4 compatible set-top boxes starting July 11, 2025. Viewers with MPEG-4 boxes can tune in without any subscription.
