Prasar Bharati has started a new HD channel of Doordarshan named DD Sports HD for the country on the occasion of the Tokyo Olympics 2021. DD Sports HD channel has been launched during this Tokyo Olympics 2021 so that the countrymen can enjoy the Games Olympics for free in high-definition picture quality. 

This is happening for the first time in India when the government should take so much care of the common people of India.

At the time of lockdown, Prasar Bharati had shown programs on Doordarshan channels according to the choice and demand of the people and once again the Government of India, to increase the interest of youth and children in sports, to watch the live telecast of Tokyo Olympics 2021 in high definition. Launched new HD channel DD Sports HD.
