Adding a DD Free Dish frequency to a satellite dB meter (also called a satellite finder or satellite meter) allows you to align your dish accurately to receive DD Free Dish channels. Here’s a step-by-step guide that will help you to guide, so that you can start your DD Free dish installation service in your area.
Step 1: Power ON Your Satellite Meter
Charge your meter if it uses a battery.
Connect the coaxial cable from the LNB to the “LNB IN” port of the satellite meter.
Step 2: Open Satellite Settings
Press Menu or Settings on your satellite meter.
Go to Satellite List or Satellite Settings.
Step 3: Add or Select GSAT-15 (93.5°E)
If GSAT-15 is not in the list:
Choose “Add Satellite” or “Edit Satellite”.
Enter:
Name: GSAT-15
Position: 93.5°E
If it already exists, then don't add, just select it.
Step 4: Set LNB Configuration
Go to LNB Setup or LNB Type.
Choose:
LNB Type: Universal
LNB Frequency: 9750/10600
22KHz Tone: Auto
Power: ON
Step 5: Add DD Free Dish Transponder
Go to Transponder List or TP List.
Press “Add TP” or “Edit TP”.
Enter the following:
Frequency: 11550
Symbol Rate: 29500
Polarity: Vertical
FEC: Auto
Modulation: DVB-S2
You can also add more active DD Free Dish TPs or frequency from here (like 11470 V 29500, 11630 V 29500, etc.) for stronger signal detection.
Step 6: Start Signal Scanning
On the TP you added, go to Signal Monitor or Antenna Setup.
The meter will show:
Signal Strength (green bar) – indicates power.
Signal Quality (yellow bar) – indicates lock.
So if you have any other questions related to the installation of DD Freedish then you can ask it in the comment.
