Updated - 62nd e-auction Results Declared- Know Upcoming MPEG-4 Channels

Prasar Bharati inviting applications from private broadcasters for vacant MPEG-4 slots on DD Freedish. This e-Auction will be completed on a pro-rata basis for the period from 24th August 2022 to 31st March 2023.

Private Broadcasters / Private TV channel owners must read policy guidelines before submitting applications. detailed guidelines are available on the Prasarbharati.gov.in website. The Private channel must be required to notify their viewers to use Prasar Bharati Authorized set-top boxes (STBs).

Which TV channels can be added?

Any National and International Private TV channel which is permitted to broadcast in India, using valid licenses by the Ministry of I&B. Read Official Notification

After completion of the 62nd e-Auction, new winner TV channels will be available on Freedish from 24th August 2022.

How to receive it? -

These TV channels can be received by using authorized Set-Top Boxes and free-to-air MPEG-4 HD Boxes only. Traditional MPEG-2 Set-Top Box will not be able to receive these upcoming new TV channels due to technology differences.
