47th E-Auction : Two Private TV channels returned
As you know that Prasar Bharati completed 47th e-auction for DD Free dish MPEG-2 TV channels.
These new TV channels will be available on DD Free dish from 6th August 2020 to 31st March 2020.

Both channels will be available on DD Free dish DTH, from 6th August 2020.

This good news for DD Free dish Viewers that Prasar Bharati once again going to invites applications from private broadcasters for allotment of vacant MPEG-2 slots of DD Free Dish DTH platform for the period from 6th August 2020 to 31st March 2021 through online e-auction process.
In this 47th e-Auction, only satellite channels licensed by the Ministry of I&B for downlinking in India would be allotted slots on DD Free Dish. Only license holder company or their authorized distributor partners can apply for the allocation of DD Free Dish slots.
International Public Broadcasters licensed/registered/permitted by the Ministry of I&B can also participate in this e-auction process.
Categorization of TV channels in different buckets in accordance with genres/language of the channel and their starting reserve price for the allotment period will be as it is.
Prasar Bharti reserve the right to accept/reject/cancel/amend the e-Auction/slot at any time during the e-Auction or after e-Auction.

At present DD free telecasts almost 95 percent North Indian language channels .A very large number are Hindi news and entertainment channels. There are a few Bhojpuri ,Punjabi and Marathi channels. Not even a single private South Indian language channel such as Malayalam.,Tamil,Telugu & Kannada. Why is DD free neglecting all South Indian language channels.What we get are only DD channels such as DD Malayalam,DD Sapthagiri,DD Yadagiri,DD Chandana,DD Podugu.
There are several tens of FTA channels in all 4 South languages.,comprising of news and entertainment.
After all South india is an integral part of India.
Most of the HIndi news channels cover news and cuurrent affairs in and around New Delhi and North Indian states.After all DD is meant for Desh Darshan and not just Delhi Darshan.
DD free should find ways of bringing in more private South Indian language news and entertainment channels in the 47th e auction

Please include some FTA South Indian language channels such as Bhakti,NT5 ,TTD SVBC,ABN Andhra Jyoti , Pudiya Thalaimurai,Polimer News,Thanthi TV,Mazhavil panorama,WE TV,Manorama news etc.
