31st Martch - Zee Punjabi, a Punjabi General Entertainment TV channel removed from DD Free dish DTH platform

February 2025 Update - As you know the 85th online e-auction is going on right now. In which all the TV channels are booking slots for themselves, those who are left will try to book in MPEG-4 slot i.e. they can get a slot for themselves in MPEG-4 or HD slot. Because now most of the people are using MPEG-4 HD set-top box instead of MPEG-2.

The validity of Zee Punjabi TV channel on DD Free Dish is left till 31st March, but still this channel has been closed, the reason for which is the new RIO has been issued by Zee Network, according to which this TV channel has now become a pay TV channel.

Or it may be. This channel can come in MPEG-4 or HD slot. Whatever update will happen, you will get it on this page till April 1.

Zee Punjabi's latest Punjabi TV channel launched in December 2019. It is a brand new television channel for the Punjabi audience. The channel launched in 2000 (as Alpha TV Punjabi) and 2008 (as Zee Punjabi) is the flagship property of Zee Media Corporation Ltd, a company and a subsidiary of Essel Group.


Zee Punjabi TV channel also participated in the 42nd online e-auction and won the slot. Zee Punjabi Test Channel will be available from 01.12.2019 to 29.02.2020 (80 days) in MPEG-2 format.
